Nondual Embodiment
includes the
Ground of Being
A free experiential website,
thoughtfully designed for
curious humans who want to live
grounded in the center of all their experience.
Living this way is the experience of nondual embodiment.
This site is a skillfully guided offering of practices and wisdom pointing to Nondual Embodiment using the Realization Process lineage.

“The unity of oneself and one’s surroundings is called nonduality...
The body is our instrument of realization.
Enlightenment occurs in and through the body.”
- Judith Blackstone -
This work will resonate if you…

Feel drawn to subtle, grounded meditation practice

Sense that awakening wants to manifest through your body’s aliveness

Have touched nonduality but struggle to integrate it in your life

Want embodiment without bypassing or dissociation from life

If you seek the experience of wholeness rather than fragmentation
If you’re seeking quick techniques or purely conceptual teaching
Want a practice focused on peak experience or transcendent spirituality
Are seeking external answers to your internal conundrums
This work may not engage you if you...
Want a “guru” or “master” to inspire your spiritual awakening or healing

Nonduality is Only an Idea Until...
You experience It
Inside and Outside Your Body
"Fundamental consciousness [the ground of being] is a dimension of unity.
It pervades both our body and our environment at the same time. If we do not experience it pervading our body, it is not yet fundamental consciousness [the ground of being] and not yet oneness. So separateness and oneness are both essential to the nature of nondual realization. We mature as whole, distinct individuals at the same time as we transcend our individuality."
-Judith Blackstone

What exactly is Nondual Embodiment?
Nondual Embodiment is...
-
Realizing the undivided ground of empty, luminous presence
-
Not transcending the body or emotions
-
Not dissociating from sensation or emotions
-
Inhabiting pervasive unity fully in the body, here now.
-
With the ill-fitting edges of fragmentation disentangled so you can settle into wholeness.

In 1983 I experienced a vivid embodied nondual awakening. (You can read about that in learn more button) I was crossing the Pacific Ocean aboard a 35ft cruising sailboat on my way from Mexico to the So. Pacific. This awakening to nondual embodiment felt ordinary, and also extraordinary. My whole being felt like “I” was in the center of an infinite expanse of unified spacious stillness. The stillness pervaded me and the ocean, the sky and the birds. Every “thing/being” had its individuality but this spaciousness created an experience of oneness. The experience stayed with me for more than 25-days at sea. It became an ordinary way to move through my routine and simple life on a small boat on the ocean. And it arose over the years fairly consistently whenever I was on a long ocean crossing. But when I arrived on land, and encountered other people, the experience would dissolve. My greatest desire was to discover why that dissonance occurred, and rectify it. I searched and studied for more than 25 years, seeking (via psychology, philosophy, science, somatic and spiritual traditions and teachers), a method that would point me directly to my realized experience. And would support me to gradually stabilize my experience in the center of all pervasive space, individual and unified. I wanted the lived experience of nondual embodiment. And I found it. Using Judith Blackstone’s Realization Process. Practice with the exercises on this website offers direct experience of nondual embodiment.

Founder of the practices
Judith Blackstone
Judith Blackstone was a promising modern dancer and choreographer in New York City in the 1970s. But a back surgery gone wrong destroyed her career. The Realization Process evolved as she studied and explored her own healing, including 13-months in a Zen monastery in upstate New York. Judith spent 30+ years as a psychotherapist and embodiment teacher. She has been sharing and refining the Realization Process for more than 40 years via her own experiences and that of her clients and students. She is author of more than 6 books, including Trauma and the Unbound Body, and The Fullness of the Ground. Learn more about Judith Blackstone and the Realization Process HERE.

How to navigate this site
Each page supports you to explore various aspects of nondual embodied awakening: Ground of Being, Gravity, Your Center, Unified Relational Field, Emptiness and Presence, Wholeness.
The pages are designed to be experienced sequentially, with each one building on and supporting the last. You’ll naturally meander from one page to the next, guided by gentle prompts at the bottom of each page.
Visually and contemplatively, each page draws you toward lived experience rather than concept. Every page includes recorded Realization Process practices to support direct embodiment.
Together, these practices point you toward an experiential knowing of nondual embodiment. Practice is the only way to become stable in Nondual Embodiment after realization.

This work is an invitation ~ to feel what has always been here, and to live from it, embodied.
